Newsletter — how we use your email
Who is responsible
Massimo Bensi decides why and how your personal data is used for this list (data controller under GDPR).
What we collect
Your email address, and the date and time you signed up. Our newsletter provider may also record technical data needed to run the list (for example IP address or browser details at signup, and whether you opened or clicked a link). We do not ask for your name on the signup form unless you choose to give it elsewhere.
Why we use it
To send you Massimo Bensi Tech Pills — email alerts when a new blog post is published — and to manage your subscription (confirmations, unsubscribes, and fixing delivery problems).
Lawful basis
Your consent. We only add you to the list after you tick the box and confirm your address by email (double opt-in). You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing; after that we stop sending and remove you from the active list.
Who processes data for us
We use MailerLite as data processor on our instructions. MailerLite sends emails, stores subscriber records, and provides unsubscribe links. See MailerLite’s privacy notice: mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy and Data Processing Agreement.
Where data is stored
Subscriber records for this list are stored in EU data centres (Germany and/or Netherlands) as described by MailerLite for EEA customers. Massimo Bensi is based in Riga, Latvia (European Union).
How long we keep it
While you stay subscribed, and for a short period after you unsubscribe so we can honour opt-out requests and fix billing or abuse issues. MailerLite may keep backup copies for a limited time; see their documentation.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your data (portability), and you can object to processing or withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija): dvi.gov.lv.
